Sunset Grill
Lagoon front. By old soccer field. in town.
Open for lunch and dinner-Lunch at best has been o.k. However, people rave about the dinners and as I do not go out at night -afraid of vampires-I will have to go with the majority and say good place and great for sunset views and seeing/feeding huge tarpon.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Sunset Grill, with a large lobster fritter, coconut shrimp, a mixed grill kabob, and a fancy frozen drink for me and Belikan (the national beer) for my husband. We enjoyed a lovely chocolate mousse cake for desert, which was more like a dense flourless cake, but yummy just the same.
The lovely waterside views of the occassional boat or cormorant coming by was so nice, as were the green trees on the islet in the distance, and the blue water, getting bluer as the sun set. (We did not have a sunset with the gorgeous colors on the night we were there, but it was gorgeous just the same.) The sounds of children playing in the nearby courtyard was a nice extra.
It is a short walk from the beach side, if one is arriving by water taxi. I suggest sturdy shoes for ladies – so that you don’t hurt your ankles, or walk in the shallow gutters on the side of the road.
You can watch the tarpon (fish) being fed, but we skipped this attraction.
One note: We have misplaced our memory card from our camera – changed out the very night we ate at this restaurant, and try as we may have never gotten through on the phone line……If anyone can help us locate our memory card – from a Cannon camera – about 1 x 1.5 inches, possible in a plastic container – we’ld be much obliged!
