El Pescador is a serene and gracious establishment well known as a world-class fishing and diving destination on the doorstep of the world’s largest living Barrier Reef. Tranquility Bay Resort is located on a beautiful, palm-fringed, white sandy beach approximately 12 miles north of San Pedro. It lies just inside the amazing Belize Barrier Reef. The spectacular reef parallels the beach like a string of pearls. Tranquility Bay lies within both the new Bacalar Chica National Marine Park and the United Nations World Heritage Site. We are the only resort on Ambergris Caye where you can comfortably kayak, swim or snorkel, from the beach, to the Barrier Reef

Tranquility Bay is located just a quarter of a mile north of the Basil Jones cut, the last major navigable passage in the reef south of Reef Point. The Basil Jones cut has been utilized by man for over two thousand years, first by the Mayan Indians, and later the Spanish and English explorers. It then became a haven and hideout for English pirates who were preying on Spanish galleons. Later, Basil Jones played a role in Belize’s famous Battle of St. George Caye.

Most recently, the Basil Jones cut, and the crystal clear Caribbean Sea immediately in front of Tranquility Bay resort, have become a favorite fishing, sailing, snorkeling and dive spot. Our on site water sports team will help you enjoy and explore these natural wonders. We have both expert fishing guides and expert dive masters. Guests at most resorts have to take a boat ride for the best fishing, snorkeling and diving. At Tranquility Bay is is at our front door.

Our water sports staff at Tranquility Bay is both friendly and talented. A tremendous variety of activities are available including swimming, fishing, sailing, snorkeling and diving. Coco Beach Resort is comprised of 25 two bedroom suites and 5 one bedroom casitas. The resort boasts one of the most incredible pools on the island. Coco Beach Resort is 3.5 miles north of San Pedro Town, nestled along a pristine white sand beach overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters of the Western Caribbean.

Our Two Bedroom Suites feature two bedrooms with king sized beds and two baths. Our kitchens offer a spacious layout and are equipped with GE stainless steel appliances. Each suite offers a separate dining area that can accommodate parties of six. The living rooms are outfitted with rattan furniture and sony televisions equipped with cable television. In addition, a full-sized pullout sofa in each living room offers additional sleeping space.

Our One Bedroom Suites feature one bedroom with king sized bed and one bath. Our kitchens offer a spacious layout and are equipped with GE stainless steel appliances. Each suite offers a separate dining area that can accommodate parties of four. The living rooms are outfitted with rattan furniture and sony televisions equipped with cable television. In addition, a full-sized pullout sofa in each living room offers additional sleeping space.

The casitas offer spacious bungalow layouts that use different levels to define different interior spaces. Each casita has one separate sleeping area, one bathroom, a full-sized kitchen, separate dining area and feature many of the same amenities found in our suites. Each casita offers a king-size bed and a full-sized pull out sofa.

Our Two Bedroom Villas, located in the Second Phase, feature a master bedroom with king sized bed, a second bedroom with (twin) trundle beds and one bathroom. Our full kitchens are equipped with GE stainless steel appliances and eating bar. Each Villa offers a separate dining area that can accommodate parties of four. The living room is furnished with rattan furniture and a 40 in. LCD TV with over 40 cable channels in English. From your private patio or balcony you will enjoy views of our uniquely designed swimming pool. The Villas will be available per February 01, 2010!

Our newest addition is 17 luxury hotel rooms! Each of these rooms will feature one king sized bed, a pull-out twin sized love seat and a bathroom. Each room is equipped with a 40 in LCD TV and a coffee maker. All rooms will have a private verandah overlooking our uniquely designed swimming pool. The luxury rooms will be available per February 01, 2010!
