San Pedro Express also offers a new run from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye to Chetumal, Mexico. The boats run from Friday to Monday (at present there are no runs on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). They leave San Pedro (from the Ambergris Divers dock) at 8:30 am and leave Chetumal Municipal Pier at 3:00 pm. Note: Be sure to be back to the Municipal Pier well before 3:00 pm.

If you are travelling from Mexico to San Pedro and have been in Mexico for more than 7 days, be sure to have 280 pesos on hand for a departure fee (they will not accept US dollars or Belize dollars and there are no banks nearby). If you begin your travel in San Pedro you do not have to pay the departure fee. The cost of a round trip ticket is $55 US ($110 Bz), One way price is $30US ($60 Bz).

Prices:

San Pedro to Belize City (and viceversa): $12.50US One Way,  $22.50US Round Trip.
Caye Caulker to Belize City (and viceversa): $7.50 US One Way, $12.50US Round Trip

If you enter Belize by air then its only 20 minutes drive to from the Airport to the San Pedro – Belize Water Taxi Terminal. Ask the taxi driver to take you to the ‘San Pedro Water Taxi Terminal’. We are located at #111 North Front Street Brown Sugar Market Place next to the City Hall. You will then catch your boat, which is spacious and comfortable with full canopy. The boat ride lasts approximately one hour from Belize City to the beautiful Island Town of San Pedro.

You can also reach the Island from the northern District of Corozal. The boats leave Corozal Town at 7:00am and 3:00PM daily for San Pedro. The boat ride is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

San Pedro Water Taxi aims to provide its passengers with the most comfortable and reliable marine taxi and charter services. They also provide a mail and freight service that delivers on the scheduled times for the Taxi runs.

Maria’s or any of the roadside stands.  I understand that you can also by it at the dock next to Sunset grill.  Greenhouse and Green Tree on Middle Street.

Best Place for Fresh tortillas (corn) and chips:
Can’t remember the name, but it’s across the street and a couple blocks north of Superbuy Grocery.  Very good prices if you can figure out the hours of business

Best Places for Household supplies/ gift items / seasonal goods:
Caye Supplies/Wings

Best place for Books:
Pages Bookstore (new or used).  Huge selection and they buy it back later it you want.  There are many hotels that have a book share corner or nook as well.

Wine in San Pedro:
Premium Spirits/Wine de Vine

Best coffee on the island:
Premium Spirits, Rum/Cigar House on Middle Street.

Best place to make copies and have printing done:
Mousepad or Gecko Graphics.

Best place to rent tables and chairs for events:

Best place for Yoga:
Akbol -  each morning at 9 am and some afternoons on the Palapa pier over the water -  it is a wonderful experience for those of all ages and physical ability, even if you are not really into Yoga that much.  I would put this on the list as a “must do” for vacationers.

Sol Spa  @ The Phoenix Resort: An instructor twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 am at The Phoenix Resort.  Classes are 15 US for visitors.

Pools:
Most Resorts will allow you to use their pool, just buy a couple of drinks, sit for lunch!

Turn left at Royal Palms and then second left. Good food if a little pricey-good service-very popular with tourists and locals alike-no bar to speak of.

What can one say? Its home of the 2 for 1 Martinis -great fun but too small-fabulous restaurant-probably the largest helpings of any restaurant-good service-cold draft beer. Try and see if you can eat a full hamburger-they are enormous. The ceviche, which I am not a fan of, gets super high marks.

At Banyan Bay.1.5Miles from Town.Unfortunately this restaurant has never been any good -lousy service 5 star prices -stay away-there is no bar

1 Mile from Town. San Pablo Area. Just past Bowen Coca Cola Distributor. Used to be one of the best restaurants when Chris and Jen ran it together.  Good bar and they would do anything to please the customer, unfortunately along comes divorce. Jen is left, and though the food is nearly as good, the atmosphere is different; however it is still on my list of a must-eat as the food is very good.

Located Seagrape drive. Behind Coconut Drive. Good Italian food -hoping they go one step higher with larger portions . Needs better staff; pizzas different to everyone else’s -cool beer -nice people.
