Word reached me last night that a new t/s resort is being built right by Casa Pisces-just north of Portofino and south of Costa Maya-now lets see who can guess who it is-I will check the veracity of this report later on today

this is what I know for sure

the land purchased 161 feet beach front around 1200 feet deep puchase price around 1,000,00usd

deposit agreed on was 200k -150k paid(vacillating on the other 50k-6 months to pay total or land will revert to owner)

person (one of my favourites is building a resort a few miles north-very slowly)

time share has to follow certain guidelines by Belizean law

I'm selling time shares of my empty lot on the south end.  For only $100,000 US you get the right 1 week a year to walk my lot, sit on my dirty beach and enjoy a "fun" golf cart ride to get there.  In the event that we eventually build on the property, we'll even invite you over for dinner once or twice.

Please PM me if you are interested.

I still don't understand why anybody would buy a timeshare anywhere. The economies make no sense to me.

I felt so sad (sorta) for those people that got bumped 3 times because Legacy closed, then Brahma, now they are at Reef. They were warned by many that using a timeshare to celebrate your special anniversary is fraught with possible disaster. Timeshare's in my mind are for going to listen to a boring talk, and playing free golf.

I'm a timeshare salesman's worst nightmare.

My wife and I were offered a free week at my buddy's timeshare in Ft. Lauderdale.  He has "points" to use up and wasn't going to be able to do it.

We went and were treated like kings because the timeshare people thought we were the owners.  They brought us in later in the week for an "upgrade" chat.  That was when I informed them that we were not the owners.

They started in on their sales pitch to sell me a new timeshare.  I pulled out a calculator and as they were going over the numbers to show me how great a deal it was, I was calculating it at the same time and showing them how big of a ripoff it is.

Is there a link to the law about time share in BZ on the internet? anyone know. I have links to other laws but never seen time share laws.
