Jason, I used it several years ago when I was snorkeling during May time frame. I didn't get stung - but can't say If I would have since it seems to me that the "pica pica" are hard to see anyway.

I live on the island and use Avon skin so soft for the no-see-ums and it works well.  Not effective against skeets.  Not sure about sea lice as I am not sure what they are exactly.

Sea Lice are basically Jelly Fish Larvae that cause painful rash when you swim.  The west side beaches on AC have them sometimes.  Some seasons are worse than others from what I gather... but figured if this stuff works, it might make swimming on the best beaches worth it.

In my nearly nine years here I have only once been stung by sea lice, though that time they really got me pretty well.

As to Avon "Skin-so-Soft", I often hear this mentioned as a repellent.  People should realise that this comes in several flavours, and only one of those includes insect repellent and is called "Bug Guard".  I know as I used to sell it, and indeed still have a few tubes left.  Any of these will help to deter sea lice as all you need is something oily on your skin and these will work as well as lots of other things (baby oil is the preferred solution by most local DMs), but only "Bug Guard" will help to keep biting insects away.

The advantage with SafeSea is that it is also a sunscreen - so a good for diving/snorkeling and avoiding pica pica. I need to remember to pack it next time I travel.
