I would think though that is hardly something Belize can control. There are tons of actions Belize could take to stimulate the tourism market that they seemingly refuse to consider.

Peter this is just another example of the nutty European socialist tax anything that walks, crawls or looks like it is gonna move. Any excuse for a tax and sometimes no excuse. This is exactly the direction that Obama is going in the US and this is why we have the TEA party movement. I absolutely decry and despise this kind of targeting the productive members of society so that the politicians can steal their hard earned money and use it to bribe the indolent slobs living as parasites on the society. I personally feel like I am walking around with a target on my back and my front. Everything from speed cameras that claim to be about safety but are really about raising government revenue to these stupid alarmist taxes that are somehow supposed to help ameliorate the non problem of climate change. Truly there is going to have to be a revolution or we are all going to be living in the worst possible combination of the worlds of Orwell, Swift and Stalin. Do everything you can to stand up to this thuggery of the bureaucrats, politicians and layabouts.

The Tea party movement is a complete joke. they're nothing more than old white red necks who represent the extremists of the republican party......I'm sure you're a member. The only record they have is to be bible totin partisans without a clue about how government runs. As I said, I'm sure you're a member. My gut reaction is that most are retired indolent slobs, and again I'm sure you're a member.

You should stop throwing these firebombs loaded with the bullshit that passes for your gray matter. These TEA party people are made up all kinds of ordinary people and whether you like it or not they are a movement to be reckoned with. Have you always been such a disagreeable SOB or have you had to practice for a long time. Is there something wrong with carrying a bible? Is there something wrong being retired?
Your gut reaction? That is obviously where you do what passes for thinking with you. Go bother someone else with your pseudo intellectual claptrap and try to get a life.

Are you British or just putting on airs by spelling gray as 'grey'. Don't worry about me and my life as it is just fine. Next week while I am touring India on a luxury train you will be sitting in your little (and undoubtedly smelly) cubby whole writing diatribes about things you know nothing of. I am sure you would have thought of Jefferson as a redneck or cracker and I am proud to be associated with him. http://www.theindianmaharaja.com/

If you were a true fan of Jefferson, you would denounce the actions of the Bush administration and the Obama administration alike. Jefferson would not have supported TARP I, TARP II, Stimulus, the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, TSA... etc. Unless of course you mean The Jeffersons that moved on up to the east side. I don't know enough about their politics. BTW, how did this discussion leak out of USA chat?

I think your boy Clover started by throwing rocks.
I am a fan of Jefferson and in fact have several collections of his writings. I think he is in large part misunderstood but one thing for sure he supported was an educated citizenry, small government and low taxes. You can't just read what passes for text books you need Jefferson himself and you will get an entirely different perspective of the man.
Interesting that most scholars think of him as the father of the democratic party. Just for the record I did not support TARP any version, Homeland Security, and certainly not TSA and the employees being unionized federal workers. I admit to having mixed feelings about the Iraq war but once we were in, we were in. There was a lot of misinformation around regarding WMA and all that at the time as well.
If you are speaking of the 'movin on up' crowd that would be Clover's folks.

I've been to India......it's a shit hole 2 class system....you ought to feel right at home there, being from North Carolina. I can't believe you'd insult a fine man like Thomas Jefferson by comparing him to yourself. Aaron Burr is more your style.

What the hell does North Carolina have to do with a 2 class system (which of course is wrong as there are many castes)? I'll leave the pontification on social engineering to you and your intellectuals partners Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

No, that would be North Carolina where a native tubby little white jack wagon would get off on dumping on the poor black folks.
