There sure as hell is a war on something.  All I know is, if we destroyed the capabilities of the Taliban to support state sponsored-terrorism through Al Qaeda and then left well enough alone in the Middle east -- the financial crisis would be much less severe. 

Bush and Obama have both waged a war on the American economy.

I'll sign up as one of those whining about water boarding too.  It's shameful for our democracy and dangerous to our troops.....but that's a different storyline.

Robert Gates was appointed by Bush in 2006.......he's still there.  The Department of Defense changed the name of the War on Terror.........you can read about the reasons why at your convenience....I don't have time for it today.  

We are close to eclipsing the trillion dollar mark in the war on terror...with no end in sight.....sooner or later the cost will require cutting something out of the budget.  There is no doubt in my mind that the those that pay taxes will be the ones punished for cost over runs.

On the policy of the war on terrorism, the only difference I see on  between Bush and Obama, is the color of their skin.........

Troops should never engage in torture.  That's the job of our spooks and should be done in the darkest regions of secrecy.
