I didn't say he was always right....but at least he figured out that Obama (2TO now) outsmarted the GOP and all but ensured his chance of re-election.  I think I'll nick name him Br'er Rabbit Wink

At great cost that will have to be paid after this newest free lunch, the package will add as much as 1 percent to GDP and lower the unemployment rate by about 1.5 percentage points. That could easily be the difference between victory and defeat in 2012.

Obama is no fool. While getting Republicans to boost his own reelection chances, he gets them to make a mockery of their newfound, second-chance, post-Bush, Tea-Party, this-time-we're-serious persona of debt-averse fiscal responsibility.

Looks like his supposed failed Presidency is a figment of partisan imagination.

His re-election in 2012 IS a figment of your imagination. Methinks someone may have snugged up Charles' braces a wee bit too tight!  Wink Cheesy      Kiss

Stimulus II, supported by the party of No will make a huge difference in Obama's chances.  The fact that most Americans think less of the GOP hepefuls, than they do of Obama helps too Grin

"Matched up with specific Republican presidential hopefuls, Obama does better. If Mitt Romney were the Republican candidate, 47 percent of respondents said they would vote for Obama, while 40 percent said they would vote for the former Massachusetts governor.

Other potential 2012 candidates get less support. Pitted against former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Obama gets 55 percent of the vote while Palin gets 33 percent. And 47 percent said they would vote for Obama against Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), while 27 percent said they’d vote for Thune.

At about the same point in his first term, former president George W. Bush had the support of 45 percent of those surveyed, while 31 percent said they would probably vote for a Democrat running against him."

clover,  It is a little early to get all giggly eyed.  Roll Eyes  Talk to us in another 9 or 10 months when front runners will start emerging and the campaign starts to get in full swing.  There will be many political battles between then and now and who knows what the future brings.   Most American people are not over joyed with OTO performance and it wouldn't take too large a blunder to sink him.

How could he get in trouble....the party of NO will have control of Congress!  It will be their turn to show Americans their priorities....and we all know they don't favor the majority of Americans.

As far as "frontrunners"........who could that be?  The only guy I can think of that could win the election is Scott Brown.......but he's not a good party politician.........so McCain will run again.......and we all know how that will end. Wink

It will not be Brown, we have had enough of inexperience.  Wink  McCain Ha Ha

How is that the Dems have had majorities in Congress for most of the last 50 years but the Repb. Presidents where the ones at fault and you know on some problems when they went with the Dems they where.   Roll Eyes Now we will have Repb. in the majority of only Congress for the last (hopefully) two years of OTO term and you are already getting his alibis ready.  Grin

OK, I guess I get it.
