Mike, by your logic Bush was not responsible for anything that happened after Jan. 5th 2007? Also the Dems are responsible for everything after Jan. 5th 2007 for the next 4 years?Huh   Come on you said it, those are the years that congress was controlled by Democrats?  Wink   OK, but it doesn't sound right to me.   Grin

Correct,  the 2008 Congress may not be responsible for the financial meltdown, but they are responsible for "bringing" the legislation to the floor to potentially solve the problem...TARP.  Without legislation nothing happens Wink

Is that the legislation that doubled the deficit and had just about no affect on unemployment?  OK, I guess I understand what your saying.  It was the Dem. congress and senate's fault not Obama.  One question though?  Was it Bush's fault? Roll Eyes

You know I don't really give a rat's ass who's fault it was.  I'm interested in getting us moving in the direction to correct the current situation corrected and the present course is not going to get us there.   Higher taxes with more spending is not going to get us there.  For the up-teenth time most are OK with higher taxes, IF spending is substantially cut and the higher taxes are shared by everyone.  In addition overhaul the tax code for businesses to help them be competitive.   Wink
