Ry, that was quite a video.  I found myself agreeing with Maxine for the first time in my life.  LOL  Evidently she doesn't realize the OTO has created more jobs than Bush.   Wink  Mike she is your neck of the woods, would you send her a note to calm her down.  Roll Eyes

I heard that Obama has invited Rick Perry out to Martha's Vineyard.  He hopes to get some ideas on how to decrease unemployment.  Grin  Didn't the Gov. of California go to Texas for some ideas?  Note that he didn't go to Washington DC.   Tongue

Quote
When California politicians want to visit California jobs, they increasingly have to leave California to do so.  That’s why Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom traveled with a small entourage of other Golden State politicians to Texas, the biggest beneficiary of California’s economic policies.  So many jobs have fled California to Texas, John Fund writes for the Wall Street Journal, that the governing class needed lessons from Texas Governor Rick Perry on how not to repel business:
http://hotair.com/archives/2011/04/22//

Gov. Newsom here is a clue.  When the voters of your state elect conservatives and shit can half your employees, half your regulations and make it more difficult for illegals to get everything for no, then maybe .......   Huh

Quote
“We came to learn why they would pick up their roots and move in order to grow their businesses,” says GOP Assemblyman Dan Logue, who organized the trip. “Why does Chief Executive magazine rate California the worst state for job and business growth and Texas the best state?”

The contrast is undeniable. Texas has added 165,000 jobs during the last three years while California has lost 1.2 million. California’s jobless rate is 12% compared to 8% in Texas.

“I don’t see this as a partisan issue,” Mr. Newsom told reporters before the group met with Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry. The former San Francisco mayor has many philosophical disagreements with Mr. Perry, but he admitted he was “sick and tired” of hearing about the governor’s success luring businesses to Texas.

Ha Ha Ha The true success of Liberalism...the ruination of whatever they govern.  Sad

If you want to know if it is real just look at the Dow Futures this morning.   Angry Don't worry though Clueless will be on Martha's Vineyard this afternoon to start his vacation.  Wink  Hope he enjoys his vacation in his $50k a week rental.  Mean while in the real world:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-08-18/first-time-unemployment-claims-in-u-s-rise-more-than-estimated-to-408-000.html

Quote
More Americans than forecast filed applications for unemployment benefits last week, signaling the labor market is struggling two years into the economic recovery.

Jobless claims climbed by 9,000 to 408,000 in the week ended Aug. 13, the highest in a month, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg News projected a rise in claims to 400,000, according to the median forecast. The number of people on unemployment benefit rolls rose, while those receiving extended payments fell.

Companies like Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (BK) are paring staff, one reason consumers are limiting their spending, which accounts for about 70 percent of the economy. Unemployment at 9.1 percent helps explain why Federal Reserve policy makers last week pledged to hold interest rates at a record low until at least mid-2013 to spur growth.

“People continue to get laid off,” David Semmens, a U.S. economist at Standard Chartered Bank in New York, said before the report. “The uncertainty in the economic outlook is continuing to give hiring managers sleepless nights and is keeping businesses from expanding. We have an incredibly long way to go” to get a healthy labor market, Semmens said.
  Don't anyone worry though, he has created more jobs than Bush.  OMG   Roll Eyes  Mike get real, hu?  Wink

Well Jim, what do you think:
"In his "first hundred days" in office, which began March 4, 1933, Roosevelt spearheaded major legislation and issued a profusion of executive orders that instituted the New Deal—a variety of programs designed to produce relief (government jobs for the unemployed), recovery (economic growth), and reform (through regulation of Wall Street, banks and transportation). The economy improved rapidly from 1933 to 1937, but then relapsed into a deep recession."

dejavu all over again?

OTO has been setting us up,"worst recession since the 1930's" how many times have you heard that ****ing line from the left for the past 18 months.

Watch for this crock of shit "jobs announcement" afetr Labor Day. YOU know whats coming!!!! Angry
FDR's fifth term? Carters second?  Its all the same Socialist/Liberal bullshit!

You're probably right Beck.  It makes sense.  Hoover destroyed the economy, FDR fixed it.  The little recession was caused by tightening of the money supply...but you'd have to be able to read  to know that.

Bush bankrupted the country with the recession starting in 2007.  Now Obama can fix it....well not really...the Tea Party will ensure America is in ruins before 2012.  And then the dumb f**ks think we'll vote them into power.  They should have called themselves the Brown Shirts.

Those dumb shits have brought the congressional approval rating from 26% to 13% in less than a year.  It won't be long before they have to travel with body guards......it ain't Pelosi's Congress no more Grin

More right wing BS.  I've seen projects still underway in both California and Florida funded by stimulus money.  the highway between Ft Myers and Sarasota is still underway.  You need to come back ito the US

But what happens when those projects are done?  You've just proved my point.

    When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe .

    It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.  A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.

    I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
>>> Thomas Jefferson

    My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
>>> Thomas Jefferson

    No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
>>> Thomas Jefferson

    The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

    The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
>>> Thomas Jefferson

    To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
>>> Thomas Jefferson

    Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

    I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.  If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

The 2011-2012 report due in September will show America at No. 16, with South Korea overtaking the United States during the last year, according to a copy of the rankings obtained by Reuters.

The quality of American roads is about on par with those of Malaysia. They lag Hong Kong, whose infrastructure tops the overall list.

The point is the stimulus has provided jobs for 2 years for construction workers.....if you consider them to be temps so be it.

What's happening here is that the elitist right wing is in the process of turning America into a 3rd world country.

No, what's happening here is that the grassroots tea-party conservatives are in the process of correcting the self destructive practices destined to send our nation into the deepest depression in the history of any nation, one from which we may not recover.

You don't get it ragman.  The Republican plan is to prevent jobs, not promote them.

Read your constitution.  It's Congress' job to legislate...not the President's...and by the way they're on vacation Wink

the President can't "write" a jobs bill....that's up to your buddies that are trying to destroy America in hopes of winning an election.

Mike, I think the above is only true when Clueless is President because that is not what you said when GW was President and the recession started. (The last 2 years of the Bush term the Congress was Dems, wasn't it? Therefore they had 4 years to get it right didn't they?)

Your arguments are getting more desperate and lame.  You need a vacation in Belize I think.  Wink
