No that was not his twin brother. Clover was the guy with white hair. Cut him a little slack GW drove him over the edge and he isn't back yet. His savior is fading fast and what’s a man to do.

Is this starting to look like Europe? Especially France where they shut down the courtry with their demonstrations and strikes every few months. Yep, give the unions more power, they'll help bring the USA to its knees and of course that will be great for everyone.

Now Harry Reid uses the Nuclear option so he doesn't have to take a vote on Obama's job bill. He'll regret that some day soon.

The party of NO started the nuclear option in 2010. Reid is just returning the favor.....it's an election year...get used to it. McConnell moved to suspend the rules and shift debate over to the American Jobs Act. Reid argued that doing so amounted to another filibuster, because it required 60 votes to move back to the original bill, and so therefore was out of order. Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska), who happened to be the presiding officer at the time, asked the Senate parliamentarian what he thought. The parliamentarian advised Begich that McConnell's motion was in order.
Reid then appealed the ruling, following a script that advocates of ending the filibuster wrote long ago. What some senators call the "constitutional option," and what others call the "nuclear option," involves as a first step appealing a ruling that a filibuster is in order. The second step is to defeat a motion to table that appeal, which is exactly what happened next, with all but one Democrat sticking with Reid. (Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) voted against Reid; Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) didn't vote.)
With the chair overruled, McConnell's motion was declared out of order, setting a narrow precedent that motions to suspend the rules are out of order during a post-cloture period.Of course this is all legal and approved by the non partisan parliamentarian.......the fact that they were discussing the China currency bill at this same time is irrelevant.....politics played by MConnell are perfectly fine if your a right wing nazi who would prefer America only have one party.......yours! such right wing partisan rhetoric.....it's shameful!

in 2005 the minority party didn't interrupt a debate to force a vote on a bill they knew the opposition didn't have the votes to pass. The senate isn't the gentlemans club anymore. It's an election year and both party's are playing partisan politics. You can go ahead and blame it on the Dems....I blame it on both parties, and it is only going to get worse. America is screwed.....while both parties play "let's get even" the country sits. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/06/harry-reid-senate-precedent_n_999291.htmlWhile the children exercise partisan politics a new bill co sponsored and bipartisan sits. This bill would make a huge difference for America and $50 says it gets tabled. Nothing "good" for the American people will happen until 2013.....Rome burns. http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/05/us-usa-tax-repatriation-idUSTRE7944AZ20111005

This is an idea that I have talked about many many times on this message board. Yes, it would create jobs and I'm glad you came around. The old Mike didn't like this idea. a cut taxes on repatriated profits could bring over a thrillion $ back to the USA and businesses would like to put it to work here. Businesses will not do this if they have to pay $35% taxes on this money. They will leave it overseas and eventually put it to work there. This money would not sit in banks at 1% interest rates, it would expand business and manufacturing with higher rates of return. Of course the other half of this plan would have to be a relaxation of some of the regulation brought about from several agencies not the least of which is the EPA. This administration has been anti-business since day one and they think they can reduce unemployment with gov. hires. Ain't going to happen. They need business to get the job done but sadly have not come to this conclusion yet. The protests are making matter worst but that is another story.
