Mr. Hope and Change wants to create a nation humbled; humiliated, casting-aside capitalism and individual freedoms for one where we the people are government controlled. This would be a system that genuflects mediocrity, steals personal aspiration and opportunity, and punishes those who strive to succeed.
 
A gallon of regular gasoline the day Obama was inaugurated was $1.79 on average in the U.S. Today that price is $359, a 100.6% increase. The number of food stamp recipients has risen since Obama took office from 31,983,716 to 43,200,878, a 35.1% jump. Long term unemployment soared 146.2% during the same 32 month period from 2,600,000 to 6,400,000. Staggering hope and change isn't it?
 
American citizens living in poverty have risen 9.5% from 39,800,000 to 43,600,000, and the number of unemployed has jumped almost 25% from 11,616,000 to 14,485,000 as of August 31, 2011. The number of unemployed blacks has risen from 12.6% at the end of George Bush's term to 15.8% today, a 25.4% increase, and finally, our national debt is up 34.4% from 10.627 trillion to 14,278 trillion *
 
Keep these figures in mind as we recount the number of a firsts for this presidency:
 
First President to refuse to show a valid birth certificate.
First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.
First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.
First President to preside over a cut to the credit rating of the United States .
First President to violate the War Powers Act.
First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico .
First President to defy a Federal Judges court order to cease implementing the Health Care Reform Law.
First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.
First President to spend a trillion dollars on shovel-ready jobs and later admit there was no such thing as shovel-ready jobs.
First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.
First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.
First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S. , including those with criminal convictions.
First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees.
First President to terminate Americas ability to put a man in space.
First President to encourage racial discrimination and intimidation at polling places.
First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present.
First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it.
First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly speak-out on the reasons for their rate increases.
First President to tell a major manufacturing company in which state they are allowed to locate a factory.
First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (Az, WI, OH, IN)
First President to withdraw an existing coal permit that had been properly issued years ago.
First President to fire an inspector general of Ameri-corps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case.
First President to appoint 45 Czars to replace elected officials in his office.
First President to golf 73 separate times in his first two and a half years in office.
First President to hide his medical, educational and travel records.
First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.
First President to coddle American enemies while alienating Americas allies.
First President to publicly bow to Americas enemies while refusing to salute the U.S. Flag.
First President to go on multiple global apology tours.
First President to go on 17 lavish vacations, including date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends, paid for by the taxpayer.
First President to refuse to wear the U.S. Flag lapel pin.
First President to have 22 personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife.
First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000.00 a year at taxpayer expense.
First President to repeat the Holy Qur'an tells us,and openly admit the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth.
 
Remember that 32 months of Obama White House we the people have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our nation's entire history, as the Obama's plan their next extravagant vacation to the Indonesian Island nation of Bali
Hope and change anyone?

Since it appears that BO (unfortunate initials) was born outside the USA and it also seems that "law" provides that a US president must have been born in the USA, several questions arise:-

1)   Who was responsible for enforcing this law at the time that it mattered?
2)   Was that at the time that he declared his candidacy or at the election?
3)   Why wasn't it enforced?
4)   Are there now grounds for ruling his tenure as illegitimate and his election void?
5)   In that event how may he be removed from office, and if deemed desirable charged with fraud or some such offence?
6)   It seems that he intends to stand again for a further term.  Assuming the law above has not been negated by his successful prior election, who is responsible for barring him from re-election?
7)   If he in fact controls the only people who could block his standing again, is this not clear and enforceable evidence of corruption?

That entire list is horeshit........you respond to it   I was just responding to Peter so he'd know the right wingers will believe ANYTHING as long as it comes from FOX or Limbaugh   If someone is dumb enough to believe that list they're probably loyal republicans and there's no hope for them.  My old college political science instructor told me once......."what is perceived is real".   People prefer to believe what they want to believe.....and as I said before........facts are a terrible inconvenience to the right wing

Here is a fact that is not perceived. Numb Nuts is not a leader he has failed to turn around an economic situation which should have been contained already.  This happened because of his narrow minded thoughts on how the world "should be" instead of reality.    We are headed for a country where the majority are dependent on the government for everything in their lives and where there is no personal responsibility.

You're right....we need to go back to good old fashioned Republican leadership....the same type of leadership that brought us 2 unfunded wars, a tax cut that has already cost us 4 trillion dollars, and trickle down economics that has done nothing to create jobs.  The Republican answer to those problems is to cut Social Security, Medicare, eliminate the EPA and numerous other government agencies that protect the American people from the same fate the Chinese are encountering.  BRILLIANT.  

Now here's a reality check.  We are suffering from a GLOBAL recession.  To blame this President for something that started in 2007 and has effected every nation on the planet is pure Republican stupidity.  To compound that stupidity, the same partisans believe that electing a President from their party will correct the recession.  Their solution will be to punish the poor, retired and middle class for the errors of the super rich and maintain defense spending at its present unsustainable level.  BRILLIANT

in 2004 when Barack Obama was elected to the Senate he, like all senators was required to produce his birth certificate and allow it to be viewed on the Senate floor for all Senators to see.  That's why even Obama's opponent, John McCain stated that Barack Obama was in fact born in Hawaii. 

In America individual rights to privacy laws state that the only person that can get a copy of someone's birth certificate is the individual themselves.  This is true of all personal records including health records.  Every individual has to consent to having a doctor review their personal health records....

Obviously, as shown in the Factcheck link, there is undeniable proof that Barack Obama was in fact born in the United States.  Choosing to believe that or not has more to do with partisan politics and very little to do with facts....which are always a terrible inconvenience to the right wingers.

Iran "hijacked" US drone.

Where did that headline come from?

After initially saying only that it had lost a drone operating near the Afghan-Iran border, U.S. officials eventually confirmed that Iran had captured a drone sent to monitor Iran's military and nuclear programs.
President Barack Obama on Friday said the U.S. planned to keep up the pressure on Iran to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons.
"And that's why, rest assured, we will take no options off the table," he said. "We have been clear."
The phrase "no options off the table" is meant to signal that the U.S. is prepared to take any measure up to and including a military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

Yes, we where spying on a country that is developing Nuclear Arms and has openly threatened us and are allies. What a revelation.    No don't unleash the nukes yet.  Give them a shock and aw day or two first and see if they come to their senses. 

Really they must like us.  We are removing all obstacles to them taking over their western neighbor and their quest to bring instability to the Middle East.  Not to mention working in conjunction with Numbnuts to shut off our energy supply.  Don't worry just put up a solar panel in your back yard and on the roof of your car.  Numbnuts has a few solar companies that really need the business.

How profoundly America has changed since January 2009.
 
I was pondering this the other night during the State of the Union address. Did you know that our elite military units like the Navy SEALs are now examples of America at its absolute finest? Why, wasn’t it just a few years ago that Sen. Dick Durbin was comparing these very same troops to the Khmer Rouge and Joe Stalin’s Red Army?
 
What used to be Dick Cheney’s hit squad is now a beacon of freedom.
 
But now of course the president is a Democrat. When Durbin spoke a Republican resided in the White House.
 
Remember when Theo Epstein snubbed Republican George W. Bush when the rest of the Red Sox [team stats] went to the White House after the 2007 World Series? Nobody said boo. Now Bruins [team stats] goalie Tim Thomas [stats] does the same thing to our PC president and — hey, somebody get a rope!
 
Since January 2009, natural disasters are no longer the personal fault of the president.
 
Now that Obama is president, Gen. “Betrayus” is once again Gen. Petraeus, the greatest American military genius since MacArthur, no make that U.S. Grant.
 
George W. Bush played 30 rounds of golf in eight years and it was dereliction of duty. Obama’s played 80 in three years and it’s a well-deserved rest from his terrible burden of world leadership.
 
On Jan. 20, 2009, all the homeless people went home. Inflation ended that same day. No longer do dying Americans have to travel to Canada to buy affordable prescription drugs.
 
The Tea Party — violent rhetoric. Occupy Wall Street and the publicly defecating hippies — in the finest tradition of our Founding Fathers.
 
Bush mispronounces nuclear — idiot. Obama butchers corpsman — misspoke.
 
Raising the debt ceiling under Bush — the worst kind of fiscal irresponsibility. Raising the debt ceiling under Obama — a valiant effort by our young president to save the world economy.
 
McDonald’s jobs under Bush — “burger flipping.” McDonald’s jobs under Obama — entry-level jobs with one of America’s noblest public corporations.
 
Unemployment rate of 4.5 percent under Bush — “jobless recovery.” Unemployment rate of 8.5 percent under Obama — the new normal.
 
The Patriot Act under Bush — incipient fascism. The Patriot Act under Obama — yawn.
 
Words and phrases you haven’t heard since January 2009: “no blood for oil ... Cindy Sheehan ... not one more dime ... quagmire ... atrocities ... candlelight vigils ... not on our watch ... waterboarding ... Abu Ghraib...

Real GDP increased 1.7 percent in 2011 (that is, from the 2010 annual level to the 2011 annual level), compared with an increase of 3.0 percent in 2010.       
 
The increase in real GDP in 2011 primarily reflected positive contributions from personal consumption expenditures (PCE), exports, and nonresidential fixed investment that were partly offset by negative contributions from state and local government spending, private inventory investment, and federal government spending.  Imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, increased.
 
Not exactly a barnburner.
