Based on what I know it costs to purchase content in the cable business, I'm fairly certain that Coral Cablevision is not paying providers for their content.  I've just assumed that they are pirating their channels from satellite providers.  Hopefully it's not coming from DirecTV. They are apparently starting to really crack down on pirated content.

I suppose that suing Coral in Belize is probably a useless endeavor, but perhaps they will instead take technical measures to combat the piracy that could adversely affect legitimate DirectTV customers in Belize.

ds, Hopefully Belize with its small population is low on their list of priorities.

Then that makes my point even more valid.

Way to go DS, after you exposed the cable pirates their signal  has been intermittent at best today.  Maybe the big eye in the sky has found a way to block them the same way BTL did (and is still doing despite nationalization) with VOIP.

Based on what I know about how much programmers charge to carry their channels, it would be impossible for Coral to be doing what they are doing at the price they offer it.

Unless they negotiated some extra super special secret deal of course.

Aparently they are replacing cable, as they replaced it on our street yesterday. LOL The picture is worse. Reminds me of TV in 50s. I'm betting they'll get it right eventually though, with a little more tinkering and masking tape.

Well - there's the problem with your picture! They must be cutting corners, everyone knows you should use duct tape! LOL

Right-oh! Masking tape is a Belizean favorite though.
