Solution for the Seniors (by Maxine)

So you're a senior citizen and the government says no health care for you, what do you do?

Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets.  You are allowed to shoot

2 senators and 2 representatives, Republicans or Democrats it doesn’t make a difference...

Of Course, this means you will be sent to prison, where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over

your head, and all the health care you need. New teeth, no problem. Need glasses, great.

New hip, knees, kidney, lungs, heart?  All covered..

And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore.

IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?!

Bottom line:  it is unconstitutional to compel a person (s) to pay for someone else's healthcare!

HEALTH REFORM: People with religious objections can opt out

WASHINGTON — Federal health care reform will require most Northern New Yorkers — but not all, it turns out — to carry health insurance or risk a fine.

Hundreds of Amish families in the region are likely to be free from that requirement.

The Amish, as well as some other religious sects, are covered by a "religious conscience" exemption, which allows people with religious objections to insurance to opt out of the mandate. It is in both the House and Senate versions of the bill, making its appearance in the final version routine unless there are last-minute objections.Lawmakers reportedly included the provision at the urging of Amish constituents, although the legislation does not specify that community and the provision could apply to other groups as well, including Old Order Mennonites and perhaps Christian Scientists.

They keep forgetting to mention who is going to make a fortune of this whole deal. Attorneys. There are going to be so many lawsuits it will become popular to go to law school again.

2Aggies, quite a broad statement, but if you are implying that there will be lots of litigation related to this ridiculous healthcare proposal, I quite agree.

For better or worst, here is the way our Health Care system is headed.  Of course this is very predictable and will only accelerate in the near future.  If the change means an eventual one payer system I believe we are screwed.   Sad

In U.S., New Low of 44.8% Get Healthcare From EmployerGovernment healthcare up, employer-based care down in 2010 vs. 2009by Elizabeth MendesWASHINGTON, D.C. -- A new low of 44.8% of American adults report getting their health insurance through an employer in November, down from 50% in January 2008, when Gallup began tracking it. The percentage of Americans with government-based healthcare remains elevated, with the 26% who report having it last month similar to the high of 26.3% found in September.

I believe in a one payer system.  The only payer should be the one receiving the treatment.

Healthcare should only be for those that can afford to pay.

If you can't afford health insurance......................die and do us all a favor.  die, die, die.
