Stuff you need is sometimes available and then can be hard to find for weeks/months on end. How about a thread called "I'm looking For/I Found." You post what you are looking for, and if anyone finds it here on the island (or in Belize City), they post where they found it.
I haven't been able to find Future, which is now part of Pledge's line, so sometimes now it is also called Pledge with Future. It puts an amazing shine on Mexican tiles floors. Anybody sees any, let me know. And I know of at least 2 other people and one large resort looking for it...

I believe damp rid is desiccant and you should be able to get it any flower shop, it is used to dry flowers. You can also re active it by baking it in the oven at a low temp.. http://www.foodsave.net/desiccan.htm

It is white crystals of some sort. The starter set comes with a 4-5" plastic strainer and pale. You put some in the strainer and put the strainer on the pale. The crystals draw tons of moisture out of the air, filling the bucket below w/ water, and very effectively eliminating the cause of mildew. The crystals dissolve while doing so, so you can't reactivate them.

Darn, I know i've seen these recently, but can't remember exactly where! (looked like new boxes) When you visit 8 stores on one shopping day, you tend to loose track. It was probably either Castillo's or Caye Supplies. I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks, JZB. I'll try both.

I've noticed the supermarket is out of many things these days. I imagine they are waiting on a container to come in full of fresh goodies, including Diet Dr pepper.

re DIET DR. PEPPER: Island Super - "across from the beer dist." - says they do stock it but the container won't arrive until late this week. They said to check with them in a week; e.g. next Sunday.

Has anyone ever come across large sized bottles of hydrogen peroxide here? If so any idea on price?
I use it for cleaning.

I'm looking for a humane mouse trap. (One that doesn't kill the mouse) Has anyone ever seen one on the island? OR in Belize for that matter?

Believe it or not, we have a cat that does that. Mice, lizards, and birds. Never breaks the skin and they also get away later.
For the price of airfare I will accompany the cat to your house long enough to catch the mouse, getting in a few dives at the same time.
