hmmm - A road trip without a pistol. That would be a 1st. (is it illegal to carry a gun into Canada?) I can check it in the US if so. You're asking the wrong person. I'm sure if you were coming to Canada on a hunting trip with a shotgun, there would be a way, but a pistol is a different kettle of fish. Here's a place to start your research. http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/fs-fd/visit-visite-eng.htm

You can obtain an ATT (Authorization to Transport) permit for a pistol as long as the barrel is longer than 4". The permit allows 60 days and is $50C. It must be obtained in advance and signed by a Canadian Provincial or Territorial Chief Firearms Officer. Any weapons not declared are confiscated and NOT returned. You can also check a weapon at designated stations and pick them up on the return trip.

Americans would thank Canadians if they would take Obama. Disclaimer : No refunds or returns, Obama will be sent as is. Any damage from shipping may only improve the merchandise.

This American would be overjoyed if he was kicked to the curb, doesn't matter how it happens either. But, me still thinks all the "gimme, gimme, gimme" people who elected him think he is the Messiah. I wouldn't wish him on the Canadian people!

The entitlement crowd is going to be very lonely when the economic powerhouses / breadwinners abandon ship (and hopefully move to Belize). Never mind angry - because they deserve big houses and big cars and great educations without having to work for it....
Whatever will we do? I know I know I know! - let's raise the minimum wage!

I love what Pierre Elliott Trudeau said to the Washington DC Press Club.... "Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt."
