If you have never been to Peggy's Cove, NS, here's a bit of what you have missed.

Very Nice - you might mention this is a live cam so viewing at 4:30 a.m. did not allow for much. However, you can click the time line snap shots on the left and see it during the day.

Very nice shot.

Cool, Moose.  We had the pleasure of taking Dita and hubby and the McGhees there last year. It truly is a beautiful place!

Thanks 2ag, I made 2 apparently false assumptions.
#1 most people know that online webcams are "live".
#2 most people are in bed at 4:30 a.m.  Grin

I'll tell you something else about Peggy's Cove. I have been there 3 times in 35 years and have not seen the sun. It is often foggy in the summer. Even on relatively calm days, rouge waves have swept people off the rocks to their death. Swissair 111 crashed in the Atlantic near Peggy's Cove on September 2, 1998. It's one of those places that is locked in time.

Know what you mean about the fog.  I have driven through St John, NB several times and have never seen the Bay of Fundy (fog).  I am sure it is just a myth.

This one is also extremely cool.

The approximate 30' difference between high and low tide will blow your socks off, so check back several times.

I know some people see an open spaces scene here in Texas maybe with some distant hills, flowers, cowboys, etc, and think "I would love to have that life".

When I see a scene like your link shows, that's what I am thinking. What a great life that would be.

In reality, they are both tough ways of life. Thanks for the links.

I lived in Saint John for 16 years and saw the sun twice!  lol

Actually, sailing in from the Bay and up Reversing Falls is an amazing experience...even on a foggy day!

I've had good success seeing the reversing falls, but I have stood on the shore watching for the tidal bore and it just didn't happen. I think I'm ready for another Maritime trip. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Atlantic lobster and scallops.  Tongue

Right now, I put San Pedro in that category. Put on your ruby slippers and click your heels.

"Tidal Bore" is my town, honey.  And what you need to do is Tidal Bore rafting!!!  Insanely fun - has to be experienced to be believed!  http://tidalboreraftingpark.com/  Scary and fun as hell!!!  You say the dates and we'll hook you up.

Lobster, scallops and snow crab for dinner!

I was thinking of the tidal bore in Moncton. Maybe yours is better.

Yup, and it works, but there is also a tidal bore there that doesn't work. http://www.knowmoncton.com/Profiles/13039/Tidal-Bore-Park.asp?id=13039
