Is there no food festival this year? I haven't even heard a peep about it.

It was normally in January but I guess February or March wouldn't be bad either.

I haven't heard anything from the SPBA (only from Pedro) and I don't think they can throw together a food festival in 3 days. I'm guessing its not happening this year...

There seems to have been some confusion. I think there were plans to do the Savour San Pedro Food Fest this weekend - but then the SP Town Council announced plans to host an event related to Carnaval - I would love a food fest in March.

1st week in March would be excellent. Might even have some free time to help, if needed.

I would suggest to think about doing a real big food fest in slow season - something for the whole weekend - including every single restaurant and hotel (if they want) - maybe a theme "around the world in 80 hours" and food from all over the world. Some entertainment and thousands of little booths with 3, 5, 8 tables and chairs, some sort of culinary village and we all would have a good time and make our senses travel to many different spots of the world. Would be a nice get-together with hundreds of specialties and at the same time a presentation of San Pedro's culinary side!? :-)

Great idea. Mmm german bratwurst and thai curry comes to mind straight away. Then some greek lamb dish and mediterranean salad with yogurt - yummy.

Hey sunshine, don't make me dream! You mean that you thought of some "Sauerkraut", a whole beef prepared by Gallon Jug, Fallafel, some Khebab or Gyros, garlic bread, Zaziki or Moussaka from Greece a real Paella Valenciana? Italian Carpaccio and some spicy Asian honey chicken with soy sprouts and vegetable? Yummi Sushi and roasted bananas, Tamales, Guacamole or nice burritos? or Ojja from Arabia with shrimp and eggs, Chilaquiles and Chilmole, or caramelized chiles? Oh, please stop now! and don't tell me about grilled Argentinian smoked sausage, Tiramisu, or Arrachera, .... ? :-)

trying to decide whether to dream about all of the food you listed or watch the opening of the winter Olympics. Man these decisions are tough!
