Our neighbors have alerted us that as many as 6 dogs North of the Bridge and Tres Cocos area have been poisoned over the last 12 hours or so.  I understand that at least 2 have died.  There may be more at SAGA being seen.

At this point, we are thinking that the poison may still be in the area, so are being advised to closely monitor our pets and keep them indoors.  We are not sure who is behind this, but rest assured, they will get theirs Angry

Has anyone approached the Mayor to get a statement?

We didn't get any reports of planned poisoning by the town.  This is probably the work of a cruel individual.  I hope this gets resolved quickly before other pets, or possibly even people are poisoned.

Thank goodness she is here.  She has been gone for over a week.  I shudder just thinking about what these pet owners must be going through.

My heart goes out to the victims and their owners.   Do they know what the type of poison is?   I hope the person or persons responsible don't continue this in other parts of town.    They need to be stopped and punished.

From all accounts the poison used is called Carbofuran and it is a very deadly pesticide typically used in gardening (I believe it is banned in most countries). Not sure if Laurie (thevet) agrees as she has probably been way too busy to check this board.

I just forwarded the following message/ questions (from a friend) to the our Neighborhood watch group (North side), who is offering a reward for the criminal(s):

"It would not take long to find out which Resort is using Carbofuran as it is a very deadly pesiticide. It would not make sense to use it unless one has a garden. How many resorts have gardens? It has many trade names such as Furadan, Bay 70143, Carbodan, Carbosip, Chinofur, Curaterr, D 1221, ENT 27164, Furacarb, Kenafuran, Pillarfuron, Rampart, Nex, and Yaltox. I have no idea why ANYONE would want to use this stuff as it is a deadly neurotoxin and dangerous to use. Who ever handled it should have used rubber gloves and if they didn't they will ultimately pay the price with their own health issues. How many places sell this poison?"
