Pedro is around.

Speaking for myself, I've been extremely busy, not to mention that I was in Belize last week.

Since Pedro myself and Moose were the top 3 posters, a good part of the silence you are seeing is the void left when Moose passed on.

I was just wondering the same thing. I began to first think that thevet actually DID kill Pedro, then I thought - naw, she'd be sneakin out of the country if she had.  Then, I thought perhaps all the visitors that were on AC the last few weeks were busy doing news worthy things that we would eventually hear about  Smiley

Maybe its time for a membership drive. Wonder what the registrations to accepted registration ratio is.

There were a lot of regulars in San Pedro over the past couple weeks.  My guess is that they'll show their slightly sunburned faces here shortly.

ds, I wish I was in SP with the gang.  This weather up north and the terrible cold I have is really starting to get to me.  I can see light at the end of the tunnel.   Smiley

of Moose....I noticed in his obit that he was a master and 32 degree mason (and Past Master) as well as a shriner.  You don't get there by accident, or by being any less than a stand up guy.

On the other note my father always told me, "the good die young, assholes live forever"  Here's to you and me Cap'n!

Fair winds and following seas to the Moose....so mote it be.

Here's one sun burned face back from SP.  Great fun had by all including deadserious (good to meet you finally).  For those who have not met ds yet, he really does smile and he is not dead!!!!  Cheesy

captjeff, It appears that Moose's passing was 1st posted on the other board but we talked about it here.  It was very sad, he added a lot to the conversation and is definitely missed.   Cry  The memory of his wit and wisdom will be around here for a long time.

Is featured in the Gone But Not Forgotten section of ACMB.  May he rest in peace.  Sympathies to his family and friends.  He will be missed.

Don't know about a Shriner which is purely American, but I have known prominent masons who were very far from being "stand-up guys".  No reflection on the late Moose, of course.

I guess I should have qualified "American" masons.  I too have known Brit Masons and agree they as a rule  are low life scum suckers.  I guess it's because of the aristocracy in Britain only being allowed to be Masons...and we all know about them.

PS.  I assume you weren't invited?

PSS You are correct, most Shriners reside in Canada and The USA.....the old colonies.

Only the aristocracy in Britain?  I don't think so.  But yes, I was invited to be a mason and no, I didn't accept.

I looked up Shriners as I hadn't heard of them.  I see their "Ancient Order" was created in 1870.  I suppose that is ancient in American terms.

Where did you find the obit?  I can't locate it.. but then again I have been known to not be able to see things right in front of my nose..

While I did not know Moose, I did enjoy his posts.

RIP Moose
