So much for honesty and integrity. The woman could have easily said she made a mistake........

Of course she'll get re-elected.  Lying is only an issue, if the other candidate does it Wink

( I did not have sex with that woman, Monica Lewinsky) Grin

Just another partisan bureaucrat thumbing his nose at the law.

In the summer of 2008, under President George W. Bush, the Justice Department launched a preliminary investigation into the allegations of racial profiling. In March 2009, after President Obama had assumed office, the department expanded the inquiry into a full-fledged probe.

The Justice Department said that Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was the first local law enforcement official in 30 years to refuse to provide documents in a federal civil rights inquiry.

We have to stop Obama, Holder, and Napolitano before they turn us into a third world country. Consider this:

One month ago - without notice to Congress, without a word to the American people - the Department of Homeland Security began dismissing from U.S. immigration courts the cases of thousands of illegal aliens. The department says it will focus its efforts on removing criminal aliens. Aliens without serious criminal histories - 250,000 by some estimates - will be left alone. This policy closely follows last August's announcement by the department that it would not deport fugitive aliens - aliens who skipped court or disobeyed orders to leave the United States. These policies assure that more illegal immigration will follow - with illegals confident that the administration, which refuses to secure this nation's borders, will not remove those who enter and remain illegally.

and then this:
The Justice Department filed a lawsuit Thursday against "America's toughest sheriff," Joe Arpaio in Phoenix, accusing him, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and the county of refusing to fully cooperate in a federal investigation into allegations that he and his deputies are guilty of racial discrimination.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Phoenix, is the latest chapter in a bitter feud between Justice and Sheriff Arpaio, who is accused of failing to turn over documents sought since March 2009 that federal prosecutors say comply with its probe of alleged discrimination, unconstitutional searches and seizures, and English-only policies in his jails that discriminate against those with limited English skills.

Sheriff Arpaio, during a press conference in Phoenix, described the lawsuit as "harassment," saying thousands of pages of documents have already been turned over by his office to federal prosecutors.

"These actions make it abundantly clear that Arizona, including this sheriff, is Washington's new whipping boy. Now it's time to take the gloves off," he said.

These people are plain ignoring the laws of the United States and implementing there version of Sharia law where they are the theocrats that decide what is good for us. I despise these people more than I can say and I predict if there is not a big change based on the November election there will eventually be blood in the streets of the USA and it will be the government against the citizens. A second American Revolution against a second ruling elite that governs by edict rather than by law.

E Pluribus Unum - I hope!

Sic Semper Tyranus - If we want to retain our freedom this will need to be our motto.

The Feds have been after Sheriff Joe for years and haven't succeeded, because it is BS.  He keeps getting reelected with over 70% of the vote!!!  Must be doing something right!

Thank you for that. Priceless and so 'en pointe' as the French would say. I have just emailed it to a lot of my acquaintances. Where has this been hiding? Surely Glen Beck or O'Reilly or at least Hannity should have been playing this every night.

Finally Jan Brewer comes clean and admits her fib.

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_ARIZONA_GOVERNOR?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2010-09-04-18-11-23

So just don't do any more debates Jan....

http://azstarnet.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/elections/article_cfb8fb2a-20a9-59d0-9276-ffaf4067b082.html

"She said the only reason she debated him on Wednesday is she had to to qualify for more than $1.7 million in public funds for her campaign."

Truthiness works!

Why hasn't Texas, New Mexico or California jumped on board with Jan and started their own initiative?  Inquiring minds want to know.
