That's good news.

Great job.

One of my favorite causes is the police cadets group.  Of course I work a lot with the neighbourhood watch groups.  Other groups that always need funding include both of the animal foundations.  All of the schools on the island.  Green Reef, ACCSD, Lions Club.  There is a group that will soon be operational that will be working with troubled and at risk youths.  Whew, tons of causes in need.....

Amanda,  regarding the "troubled and at risk", is this something relatively new, or just coming to fruition after a few years of discussion/planning?

This is something that a group of Belizean social workers have been working on for a number of years.  They have been obtaining additional training, in most cases at their own expense, and I believe they are getting close to being "organized."

Thanks.....I was just trying to remember who it was I spoke with a few years ago (at BC's)  about just such a thing.  But IIRC, she no longer lives on the island........hope something fruitful happens.
