I am taking it over but the current sub leasors are refusing to move out (they have 70 days left on their lease) but they owe 24k in back rent which they say is going to be paid today or tomorrow-imo it will never happen but if the worst come to the worst I take it over in just over two months.

Congrats Pedro. This might actually make the Playa Lounge fun again.

Wow, Peter, as if you aren't busy enough - yes, congratulations! The Playa Lounge was unique - liked the set up - hopefully with your spin on it, it will succeed. Fingers crossed. And to the "Kevman" troll - please identify yourself - it might explain your attitude.

IMO Playa Lounge has always been a lost opportunity. It's lacking something, maybe "coziness", and isn't very welcoming. Hopefully that will now change.

It used to be very cozy. I loved it when it first opened. Then they took the couches out and put in tables... lost much of it's conziness. Here's to hoping Pedro brings back the playa lounge feel of old.

Even during the Cannibals years there were 3 owners with 3 distinctly different styles of management and "ambience."

I never went there when it was Cannibals. I did however spend a lot of time there soon after Playa opened and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Went back each visit until they pulled the couches out.

Yes. One very competent, plus two others distinctly less so!
