A popular, yet cheap form of transportation in San Pedro is bicycling. You can ride around town for the week, or simply pack a lunch and rent a bike for the day to see the north coast of Ambergris Caye. There are many resorts, private homes, restaurants to see, and is definitely recommended.

Some hotels provide free bike rentals to their guests, and there are a few bicycle rental locations in town to choose from. Simply walk in and rent your bicycle; the rates vary from 9-12US per day and 40-50US per week. Upon your arrival simply inquire with your concierge or front desk at the hotel.

Please be sure to lock your bicycle up at ALL times when you will be fully responsible for this item, and they are not insured by the rental companies. If you decide to rent a bike to see the north end of Ambergris Caye, there are maps available, usually at your front desk or online.
